THE IMEMS CONSORTIUM
The consortium of IMEMS collaborates with the aim to build the first European mapping of AI music tech solutions, dedicated to the (live) music industry with a focus on music export consists of three partners with extensive experience in leading European Projects. Lead by Music Tech France and in partnership with MusicTech Germany, the Federal Association for music technology in Germany, and WISE, the Future Festival and Think Tank.
PROJECT LEAD
Music Tech France is the French association by and for innovators in Music. The collective was established to help building a stronger voice for music tech companies in France that work towards improving the music sector going through a digital transition.
Created in 2019 during the MaMA music convention, Music Tech France (MTF) brings together business players whose core business is innovation in music to form a strong community. MTFs goal is to create and contribute to an ecosystem for music tech companies, helping them make meaningful business connections, representing them to the key players in the music industry and demonstrate the strength of French innovative companies in music and tech.
Today, MTF has a membership of approximately 80 organisations and represents its network to institutions in France and on an international level.
PROJECT PARTNERS
Founded in 2017 as the first music tech association worldwide, MusicTech Germany operates as an independent organization and is the main point of contact for music technology in Germany. At the core of its mission: Promoting collaborations between the traditional music industry and music tech pioneers by initiating interactive multi-disciplinary events and by communicating with and counseling of inter/national policy makers, industry executives, media representatives, as well as artists, music enthusiasts, and the general public. The association aims to connect the dots for those who seek to address the challenges of the music ecosystem in the digital age. Furthermore, MusicTech Germany fosters the knowledge transfer between visionaries from all intersections of the creative industries. It serves as a mediator and independent catalyst to help accelerate avant-garde approaches, determined to further the innovative potential and future success of artists and pioneers by improving the creative environment and underlying economic infrastructure.
WISE connects thought leaders of the creative industries, science and the tech community and engaging them in an intersectional, societal dialogue. Additionally WISE showcases exceptional emerging as well as established creative & diverse talent from Berlin and the world. WISE is connecting local communities globally and facilitates business & cultural- and knowledge exchange through music, art & technology. WISE is well versed in music export in different verticals of the music industry and has been hired to plan and implement events/trade missions for Initiative Musik and GEMA (at SXSW), EMEE (in Mexico) and Music Norway (in China) as well as conducting research on the topic for the music markets Mexico and China, publishing a report on Chinese Music Export. WISE itself has been organizing / curating its own events at the intersection of music & tech in China (Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu), Berlin, Austin & Miami. Philipp also has over 20 years hands-on experience in the live music sector as he has booked over 200 artists.
