IMEMS is a project lead by Music Tech France and in partnership with MusicTech Germany, the Federal Association for music technology in Germany, and WISE, the Future Festival and Think Tank.

Together, we are building the first European Mapping of AI Music Tech Solutions, dedicated to the (live) music industry with a focus on music export.

In the ever-evolving landscape of the music export and live music sector, we recognize the multifaceted challenges faced by the industry. The fast development and accessibility of Artificial Intelligence has opened many opportunities to solve some of those challenges. This project not only aspires to unravel the immense potential of AI within the music sector but also aims to provide tangible solutions to the intricacies faced by musicians, live music professionals, and music export offices. IMEMS aims to curate a comprehensive directory of European music tech companies that successfully developed innovative AI products or services for these parts of the music sector.

For the Live Music sector, we are going to collect solutions that directly address the challenges of developing artists‘ circulation in Europe, ecological sustainability, and new audience strategies.

For the Export of European Artists, we are going to map AI tools that will significantly contribute to the challenge of promoting new music and artists abroad in innovative ways by cataloging AI companies specializing in cross-border co-creation and business development opportunities.

The overarching aim of IMEMS is to pioneer a paradigm shift within the European music export and live music sector by harnessing the transformative power of artificial intelligence (AI). We seek to create a comprehensive directory of innovative AI companies across Europe that have successfully addressed the challenges for music export and the live music sector. Through this initiative, IMEMS aims to foster knowledge transfer and stimulate cross-sector collaboration.
